Behind every meaningful movement is a person who believes change is possible — and for Aasha Kiran Kendra, that person is Mr. Sunil Gupta.

A visionary leader with a deeply compassionate outlook, Mr. Gupta founded Aasha Kiran Kendra with one simple but powerful belief: every special child deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to grow in a nurturing environment. His journey into social impact was shaped by witnessing the lack of structured support available to children with intellectual and developmental challenges and their families. Rather than accepting this gap, he chose to act.

Drawing from his strong background in business and leadership, Mr. Gupta combined strategic thinking with a humanitarian mission. In 2014, he initiated the center at Siddhartha School in Pipra, Birgunj, laying the foundation for what would become a safe and empowering space for children with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, and other developmental conditions. His collaborative approach, hands-on involvement, and long-term vision helped transform a small initiative into a trusted institution.

What distinguishes Mr. Gupta’s leadership is not only his organizational insight, but his personal commitment to inclusivity and social responsibility. He has consistently advocated for awareness, acceptance, and equal opportunity — working to reduce stigma while promoting understanding of developmental disabilities. His efforts extend beyond administration; he remains actively engaged in strengthening programs, supporting families, and guiding the center’s growth.

He personally speaks and conducts awareness programs about intellectual and developmental disorder in all types of social gatherings and educational institutions with the aim of creating respect and creating a dignified life for these special children. 

Under his stewardship, Aasha Kiran Kendra continues to evolve as a community-driven space where children are encouraged to discover their strengths and families find reassurance and hope. Mr. Gupta’s work reflects a rare balance of purpose and practicality — proving that sustainable social change begins with empathy, vision, and persistent action.

His journey stands as an inspiring reminder that leadership rooted in compassion can transform lives, uplift communities, and create opportunities where they are needed most.
