Support Groups: Creating a safe space for parents to share experiences and learn from one another.
Awareness Days: We organize special awareness days to educate and ijnspire the community about important causes:
Cerebral Palsy Day: At Aasha Kiran Kendra, it was a day of celebration, but a day of awareness, understanding appreciation for the incredible strength and potential of our children. The day was filled with smiles, activities, and heartfelt moments that reminded us how every child is unique and capable in their own beautiful way. Through art, play, and interaction, our children showcased their talents and confidence, inspiring everyone around them. World Cerebral Palsy Day is a reminder to stand together for inclusion, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all individuals with disabilities. At Aasha Kiran Kendra, we are proud to create a space where every child is encouraged to dream, grow, and shine.
Environment Day 2025: In celebration of World Environment Day 2025, the children of Aasha Kiran Kendra showcased their creativity and love for nature through inspiring artwork. With each drawing, these young hearts shared a powerful message of hope, reminding us all of the importance of protecting and preserving our planet. Their efforts highlight how small hands can inspire big change, as we work together towards a greener, healthier future for all.
International Epilepsy Day: On the occasion of International Epilepsy Day, Aasha Kiran Kendra reaffirmed its commitment to supporting individuals affected by epilepsy and spreading meaningful awareness within our community. Epilepsy is a neurological condition that impacts the brain and may cause recurring seizures, but with timely diagnosis, proper treatment, and compassionate care, individuals living with epilepsy can lead confident and fulfilling lives. We believe awareness reduces fear, understanding builds acceptance, and inclusion creates opportunities. Together, let us stand united to break misconceptions, encourage support, and empower every child and family touched by epilepsy.
Autism Awareness Day: Aasha Kiran Kendra proudly celebrated Autism Awareness Day with joy, love, and togetherness. Our special children participated in fun activities, games, music, and creative programs that highlighted their unique talents and abilities. Teachers, caregivers, and well-wishers came together to spread awareness, acceptance, and support for children with Autism.
Disability Pride Month: At Aasha Kiran Kendra, we proudly celebrate Disability Pride Month this July—a time to honor identity, acceptance, and dignity for people with disabilities. Started to mark the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990, it has become a symbol of empowerment and pride. At AKK, we support children with cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental or physical challenges. We believe in an inclusive world where every voice matters and every ability is celebrated. The colors and symbols we use reflect the strength and diversity of the disability community, from sign language users to those with mobility or neurodiverse needs.
